“Tamarisk- a one off bespoke design on the beach in Downderry inspired by a Californian beach hut with multi splayed roofs and flying verges. The main structure of Tamarisk was a combination of ICF and steel framework recessed into the hillside of Trewall hill. Using natural products such as timber cladding and locally sourced stone has enabled it to grow silver down within its coastal environment. Maximising the natural light with top to bottom glazing and the seascape was at the for front of the design allowing the inside and outside living areas flow in harmony. Architect Arco2 & Cshore
